A classic fairy tale with magic, imaginary beings, improbable events and of course a happy ending (well for Jack, maybe not so happy for the giant!)Kids love to read these well known stories. They delight in a parent's grumbly voice repeating an ogreish Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum". It's even more exciting to act out a favorite well loved story. Let them dress up and pretend to be Jack or better yet a big, mean giant who's trying to eat you. Best Wooden Block Sets For 3 Year Olds

Tuesday, March 18, 2014 1:27:11 PM America/Phoenix

Wooden blocks are a very popular toy for a 3 year old. Are you considering purchasing this for your grandchild? What qualities make a good set of wooden building blocks for your 3 year old grandchild?

1-Number of Blocks -60-80 blocks is an appropriate amount for a 3 year old child. But consider the fact that as they grow older they will want more pieces in their block set. Also consider how many children will be typically playing. The more the kids, the more pieces needed.

2-Sizes & Shapes of Blocks -3 year olds typically play with mostly square and rectangular shaped blocks. They manipulate blocks of small to moderate size. They are ready at this age to use some different shapes of blocks, so they can build things more complex than a simple tower. However, triangles and arches are not heavily used at this age. So a few special shapes are appropriate but large numbers are not needed.
